It’s the Holiday season and WiCS knows it! WiCS had a lovely event, “Secret Santa”, where members of the group gave a present to the person they got.
Right before Thanksgiving, WiCS hosted a fun crescent roll baking study break. We filled the little rolls with Nutella, chocolate chips and cheese, baked them, and finally ate them. They were absolutely delicious!
WiCS members and WiCS allies shared a lovely dinner with Dr. Swapneel. We talked about his interesting research and about the courses he currently teaches at Penn.
WiCS had a fun evening baking delicious banana bread and apple bread with Marta, a faculty member at King’s Court English College House! It was a perfect activity to bond with WiCS’ members.
WiCS Residential collaborated with Penn’s WiCS club to host a panel with current WiCS members who completed programs such as Google Engineering Practicum, Microsoft Explore, and Facebook University during their freshman/sophomore summers. This event was targeted to underclassmen women looking into summer internship opportunities. Tea-Do was served!
For a studying-packed Reading Days and final preparation, WiCS Residential prepared goodie bags filled with sweet treats for KCECH residents. Each bag contained a small message of encouragement!
WiCS Residential collaborated with STWing Residential Program to host their annual Robotics Fair in which various members from Penn came to celebrate the field of robotics. WiCS hosted a paint night session with ice cream on a Saturday evening as a study break during a busy midterm season. A great turnout of people who painted lovely images!

WiCS Residential hosted a fun Vietnamese spring roll making session on January 21st, where many members of KCECH got to learn about WiCS while making delicious food. Board members spent the day preparing the ingredients and did a great job hosting the event!
